Hi, I'm Michael.

The origin of HalloCasa began when I spent my bachelor's exchange in 2011 in Bogotá and fell in love with this country. Living in Colombia, I was asked by various friends whether I could look for real estate objects to invest in Colombia, since interest rates were down in Europe and they were looking for investments with higher returns.

In the first place, I sent them the links with property information, however, they didn't understand the currency, neither did they speak Spanish, nor did they understand the buying process. So, it was me, reading documents, calling the Colombian Central Bank, and explaining what needed to be done. However, the more requests I got, the more difficult I found myself illustrating the properties nicely.

Obsessed with lean methodology and Steve Blank's as well as Ash Maurya's insights, I conducted problem-identification interviews in order to obtain information about what the customers' real pain was. Based on those interviews, I drafted the first solution.

Together, my very intention is to build something that customers want in order to really help them.

I hold an MSc in Computer Engineering and have worked on multiple startups as a full-stack developer and AWS architect. At HalloCasa, I build our technical infrastructure, AI-driven tools, and automation pipelines to make the platform scalable, secure, and reliable.

I focus on AI and LLM operations, data engineering, and dev-team automation, ensuring our engineering team delivers features efficiently without compromising quality. I’ve also integrated multi-currency support, GEO-mapping for properties, and SEO-optimized profiles so our users can truly showcase their verified professional identity globally.
